The tracking device is used by the military and has to be completely sealed to the elements, Water and dust ingress is not permitted.

The tracking device was not designed by Alphatech and unfortunately the top and bottom case mouldings were supplied warped and the joining faces were not straight. This meant that they had to be held together under pressure while the adhesive sets to ensure that the joining faces were straight and there were no gaps.

50 of these gluing presses were produced to provide sufficient throughput in the production of the tracking handsets.
